Training course on volunteering management in Slovakia

The training in Slovakia that took place from 3rd to 10th September 2018 enabled the organizations based in developing countries to be reinforced in local and international volunteering management and brought new methods and capacities to identify the needs, to prevent the risks and to develop further projects in the frame of the EVS, European Aid Volunteer Program or EU Solidarity Corps.

The training covered the following topics:

• Security: to ensure volunteers’ safety, how to act in a crisis and evacuation;
• Needs Assessment: identify the real needs of the host organization, how volunteers can be involved and the skills requested to implement activities;
• Logistics: tools and methods to ensure safety and avoid unpredictable situations;
• Volunteering management: develop a common framework for the management of volunteers and ensure high-quality management.
